Custom Bridal in San Diego
Made To Fit You
If you're here, you probably already know this isn't a traditional bridal experience.
Custom with South of West is collaborative, intentional, and not rushed. Every piece is made to order, and I take on a limited number of projects at a time so each project gets the attention it deserves.
Some brides come in with a fully formed vision. Others know they want something different but aren't sure exactly what that looks like yet. Both are welcome here.
What Custom Means at South of West
Custom isn't choosing from a catalog of options.
It's a conversation.
We'll start by talking through your wedding, your style, the pieces you've saved, and the details that matter most to you. From there, we'll begin shaping a design that feels like your version of bridal, not someone else's.
Whether that's a mini, a full gown, separates, or something that doesn't fit neatly into a category, the process starts the same way.
The Process
Consultation
Every custom project begins with a consultation. We'll talk through ideas, silhouettes, fabrics, timelines, and expectations.
Design Development
Once we have a direction, I'll begin developing the design and sourcing materials.
Fittings
Throughout the process, we'll make adjustments and refine the fit. The goal isn't just a beautiful garment. It's a piece that feels like it was made specifically for you because it was.
Production
Once everything is approved, production begins. Every garment is made to order in small batches and produced individually.
Timeline
Custom projects require time.
Most custom gowns take several months from consultation to completion. If you're considering a custom piece, reaching out sooner is always better than waiting until the last minute.
If you're working with a shorter timeline, reach out anyway. Sometimes there are options.
Investment
Custom mini dresses begin at $1,500.
Custom gowns begin at $5,000.
Final pricing depends on design complexity, materials, and construction requirements.
Is Custom Right For You?
Custom may be a good fit if:
- You haven't found what you're looking for in traditional bridal stores.
- You want something more personal than an off-the-rack gown.
- You have specific design ideas you'd like to explore.
- You want a garment built around your vision from the beginning.
Ready To Start?
The best place to begin is with a consultation.
We'll talk through your ideas, your timeline, and whether a custom project makes sense for what you're looking for.
