Terms of service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the South of West Bridal website, online store, products, services, communications, and related features.

Throughout these Terms, “South of West Bridal,” “South of West Bridal LLC,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to South of West Bridal LLC. “You” and “your” refer to any visitor, customer, or other person using our website or services.

Our online store is hosted by Shopify, which provides the ecommerce platform that allows us to offer our products and services to you.

By accessing our website, purchasing a product, submitting information through our website, or otherwise using our services, you agree to these Terms and to the policies incorporated into them by reference.

Please read these Terms carefully before using our website or placing an order.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use our website or services.

1. ELIGIBILITY & USE OF OUR WEBSITE

By using our website or purchasing from South of West Bridal, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state, province, or country of residence or otherwise have the legal authority necessary to enter into these Terms.

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when placing an order, creating an account, scheduling an appointment, joining a mailing list, or otherwise interacting with us.

You may not use our website, products, or services for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any account credentials associated with your account and for activity occurring under your account.

2. PRODUCTS & HANDMADE GOODS

South of West Bridal creates limited-production, made-to-order, handmade, vintage textile, and specialty bridal and apparel pieces.

Because many of our garments are handmade and may incorporate vintage, antique, deadstock, natural, hand-dyed, specialty, or limited-quantity materials, individual garments may vary.

Variations may include differences in:

  • lace motifs or placement;

  • embroidery;

  • weave;

  • texture;

  • color;

  • ivory or cream undertones;

  • aging or patina;

  • fringe;

  • stitching;

  • dye lots;

  • surface characteristics; and

  • other qualities inherent to handmade or vintage materials.

These variations are part of the nature of the materials and production process and do not necessarily constitute defects.

Unless a product is expressly described as custom-fit, purchasing a standard size does not mean that a garment is made to your individual measurements.

Professional alterations may be required to achieve your preferred fit.

Additional information regarding vintage textiles, color variation, fringe, sizing, defects, made-to-order merchandise, and returns can be found in our Return & Refund Policy:

https://www.southofwestbridal.com/policies/refund-policy

3. PRODUCT IMAGES, COLORS & DESCRIPTIONS

We make reasonable efforts to display and describe our products accurately.

However, photographs, digital renderings, mockups, screens, lighting conditions, device settings, photography editing, and differences in materials may affect how colors, textures, proportions, and details appear.

We do not guarantee that the color or appearance displayed on your device will exactly match the physical garment.

Digital mockups, sketches, renderings, inspiration images, and similar visual representations are intended to communicate the general design direction of a product and should not be interpreted as a guarantee of an exact photographic reproduction.

Vintage and limited textiles may also differ from one garment to another depending on available motifs, placement, scale, condition, and material quantity.

We reserve the right to update product descriptions, specifications, materials, construction details, availability, and pricing when reasonably necessary.

4. ORDERS

Submitting an order constitutes an offer to purchase products from South of West Bridal.

We reserve the right to accept, decline, limit, or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including because of:

  • product or material availability;

  • pricing or listing errors;

  • suspected fraud;

  • production limitations;

  • inability to meet a required timeline;

  • geographic or shipping restrictions; or

  • other circumstances affecting our ability to fulfill the order.

Payment authorization or an automated order confirmation does not necessarily constitute final acceptance of an order.

If we are unable to accept or fulfill an order after payment has been processed, we will contact you and issue any refund required under the circumstances.

Please carefully review your size, product selection, customizations, shipping information, event date, rush selection, and other order information before completing your purchase.

5. MADE-TO-ORDER PRODUCTS & CANCELLATIONS

Many South of West Bridal products are made specifically after an order is placed.

Materials, labor, production time, and studio capacity may be allocated to your garment shortly after purchase.

For this reason, orders generally cannot be canceled once production has begun.

A cancellation request is not considered accepted unless South of West Bridal confirms the cancellation in writing.

Any cancellation, return, refund, exchange, store credit, or defect claim is governed by our Return & Refund Policy:

https://www.southofwestbridal.com/policies/refund-policy

Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer right that cannot legally be waived or excluded.

6. SIZING, FIT & ALTERATIONS

Customers are responsible for reviewing the applicable size chart and selecting the size they wish to order unless South of West Bridal expressly agrees in writing to provide a custom-fit garment.

Sizing recommendations provided by South of West Bridal are guidance based on the information available to us and are not a guarantee that a standard-size garment will require no alterations.

Bodies vary in proportion even when measurements correspond to the same standard size.

Unless expressly sold as custom-fit, a garment may require alterations for an individual fit, including adjustments to length, straps, bust, waist, hips, seat, sleeves, or other areas.

Alteration costs are the customer's responsibility unless South of West Bridal expressly agrees otherwise in writing.

Once a garment has been altered by the customer or a third party, South of West Bridal may be unable to evaluate or correct issues resulting from those alterations.

7. EVENT DATES & PRODUCTION TIMELINES

Event dates submitted through our website are used to assist with production planning.

Providing an event or wedding date does not, by itself, create a guaranteed delivery date.

Production timelines shown on our website are estimates unless South of West Bridal expressly confirms a guaranteed deadline in writing.

Customers are responsible for ordering with sufficient time for:

  • production;

  • shipping;

  • customs processing where applicable;

  • fittings;

  • alterations; and

  • unexpected delays.

Current production, shipping, and rush terms are described in our Shipping Policy:

https://www.southofwestbridal.com/policies/shipping-policy

8. RUSH ORDERS

Rush production may be available for certain products depending on our current studio capacity, materials, product type, and event date.

A rush fee reserves expedited production capacity. Rush fees are separate from shipping charges.

Rush production shortens the production timeline only unless South of West Bridal expressly states otherwise in writing.

Purchasing a rush option does not guarantee a particular delivery date and does not make South of West Bridal responsible for carrier delays, customs delays, failed delivery attempts, weather, incorrect shipping information, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Rush fees are non-refundable except where otherwise required by law.

Current rush timelines, pricing, and conditions are maintained in our Shipping and Return & Refund Policies.

9. PRICING & PAYMENT

Prices are displayed in the currency indicated on the website and are subject to change without notice.

The price applicable to your order will generally be the price displayed when you complete your purchase, subject to correction of obvious errors.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, product prices do not include:

  • shipping;

  • customs duties;

  • import taxes;

  • VAT;

  • tariffs;

  • brokerage fees;

  • carrier handling charges; or

  • other charges imposed by a destination country or third party.

You agree to provide accurate and complete billing and payment information and represent that you are authorized to use the payment method submitted with your order.

Promotional codes, discounts, credits, and special offers may be subject to additional conditions and may not be combined unless expressly permitted.

10. SHIPPING, DELIVERY & INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

Shipping and delivery are governed by our Shipping Policy:

https://www.southofwestbridal.com/policies/shipping-policy

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address and contact information.

International customers are responsible for applicable customs duties, import taxes, VAT, tariffs, brokerage charges, carrier fees, and other import-related expenses unless expressly stated otherwise at checkout.

Refusing a shipment, failing to collect a package, or declining to pay required import charges does not automatically cancel an order or make an otherwise non-refundable purchase refundable.

Additional terms regarding international shipments, refused packages, returned shipments, customs charges, carrier delays, and reshipping are contained in our Shipping and Return & Refund Policies.

11. RETURNS, REFUNDS & DEFECT CLAIMS

Our complete return, refund, cancellation, defect, vintage textile, color, fringe, made-to-order, and international return terms are maintained in our Return & Refund Policy:

https://www.southofwestbridal.com/policies/refund-policy

Because of the made-to-order and limited-production nature of our products, we generally do not accept returns or exchanges unless expressly stated otherwise by South of West Bridal or required by applicable law.

If you believe you received a materially defective or incorrect item, please follow the notification process and timeframe described in our Return & Refund Policy.

Nothing in these Terms or our other policies limits a consumer right or remedy that cannot legally be waived.

12. CHARGEBACKS & PAYMENT DISPUTES

Where reasonably possible, we ask customers to contact South of West Bridal first regarding an order concern so that we have an opportunity to review the matter.

Initiating a payment dispute or chargeback does not change the terms applicable to an order or independently make an otherwise non-refundable order refundable.

We may provide relevant records to payment processors, card networks, financial institutions, or dispute-resolution providers in response to a payment dispute, including order details, tracking information, communications, policy acknowledgments, photographs, production records, and other documentation relevant to the transaction.
